The World’s Most Haunted Dolls Part 2 – Mandy

Mandy is a one hundred year old doll, whose owner donated her to the Quesnel Museum in British Columbia. She claimed that she was frequently woken up in the night by the sound of a baby crying in the basement. When she went to investigate, there was no baby down there – only Mandy.

The doll is said to be possessed by the spirit of a little girl who died in the house. When Mandy was donated to the museum, they found that they could not keep her in the same case as other dolls because Mandy would ‘harm them.’ She is therefore confined in her own solitary case – with just a little toy lamb for company. Like Robert, Mandy is said to blink and move of her own accord, tapping against the glass of her case as if she wants to get out. The toy lamb has been discovered on the floor, as if thrown out of the case in a tantrum. She’s also said to make camera equipment malfunction when visitors to the museum try to photograph her.

Opinion is divided as to whether Mandy is an evil haunted toy or just the sad spirit of a little girl trapped in a doll. It’s the ‘harming other dolls’ thing that creeps me out, as they never provide any details as to what this ‘harming’ actually entails. Does she pull their limbs off, scratch their eyes out, eat their heads, what? No wonder all the other dolls are scared of her . . .
